- How long has your company been in business?
- Bunn Masonry was founded in March of 1979.
- Do I need a ledge to have masonry on my home?
- There are options available even if you don’t have a ledge. Some of those would be a thin veneer stone or manufactured stone. Brick is also available in thin veneer. This is an application that is adhered to the wall, therefore it doesn’t need a ledge.
- How do I know what I can afford for my project?
- This is often a question of misperception. There are basically three tiers of pricing in regards to brick/stone. We recommend talking to one of our sales staff to help in this area.
- What is the proper installation process for manufactured stone?
- This is an area that is ever changing. When working with a contractor, it's important that they are up to date with the codes. Bunn Masonry has specialized personnel that prep the jobs prior to the installation of the stone. This is then ready for inspection by the city building officials. We have samples that our sales staff would be more that happy to show and explain.
- Can you install stone over existing brick?
- Yes, we can install a thin veneer stone or brick over the existing brick. This requires a little more prep work, however it is generally less than the demolition of the existing brick.
- Do you do flatwork, poured walls or foundations?
- In certain projects or custom masonry we will install below grade foundations and flatwork. However this is not our specialty. At Bunn Masonry, we make it a point to never over promise. If your request is beyond the range of our expertise, then we are happy to assist you in finding a specialized contractor to perform these tasks. In the end it’s about getting your project done right.
- How long will my project take?
- There can be many variables that can impact the timing of a project. These include: the size and complexity of the project, the labor intensity of the install, special order products, and of course the weather. However, we can give a fairly accurate estimate of how long it should take us to complete your project. The key thing to know is that once your project is scheduled, we make every effort to start on the date specified. In addition, the crew assigned to your project will be dedicated to it until its completion. We know our reputation is built by completing projects on time, within budget.
