Mike Bunn, President/Owner
Mike Bunn, President and Owner of Bunn Masonry, developed his core values during his eight decorated years in the Army Reserves.
As a sergeant in the communications field he honed his leadership abilities and learned how to handle higher stress related jobs.
“This part of my career taught me many values that I now operate my company with, such as motivation, respect, and integrity.” Mike spent close to five years working in the field, gaining an in-depth understanding of how masonry works.
Mike then ran operations for several years before he took over complete ownership of the company from his father, William Bunn.
One thing his experience taught him is that the employees are a company’s number one asset. To that end, what Mike is most proud of at Bunn Masonry are the experienced, high quality people that are found throughout the organization.
He makes sure all sales, estimating and project management personnel have prior masonry experience.
Ultimately it’s about working hard to make sure every customer is satisfied.
Nick Pedersen, Sales Manager
From top to bottom Bunn employees know masonry. For proof of this look no further than our Sales Manager, Nick Pedersen. He started as a laborer, then was an apprentice for brick and stone installation, advanced to crew foreman, and then became Primary Instructor for our training course, the Introduction to Brick/Stone Installation (a night course offered to Bunn Masonry employees looking to advance to Apprentice Brick/Stone Installers). After being deployed to Iraq as Team Sergeant for the Army (we are grateful for his brave service to our country), Nick returned as our Sales Manager. When he’s selling, it’s easy to see he’s speaking from a depth of experience. This helps him set practical goals and realistic expectations for our clients. Nick’s goal is to always maintain Bunn Masonry’s commitment to building positive, long-standing relationships with its wide range of clients and suppliers.
Jacob Stewart, Operations Manager
Jacob has worked his way up the Bunn ladder step by step.
He started as a laborer, then became a mason, next a crew foreman, and now is our Operations Manager.
Knowing the trade from the ground up is what makes Jacob such an excellent Operations Manager. He’s in charge of the day-to-day operations, and works hard to make things run as smoothly and efficiently as possible. His level headed way of operating helps him tackle situations head on and resolve them in a proper and fair way. This keeps the crews happy, and helps us deliver a superior product for our clients. Jacob takes pride in his work and works tirelessly to make sure that the company delivers a level of professionalism and quality craftsmanship that can’t be beat.
Brenda Bunn, Secretary/Treasurer
Short of laying brick, there’s isn’t much that Brenda doesn’t get involved in.
Training, human resources, auditing, financial reporting, employee benefits, marketing, and more, all receive her diligent attention.
Brenda believes that one should always put forth your best effort in whatever you do.
This kind of attitude is contagious. As she states, “We’re all working towards a common goal – exceeding our clients’ expectations. Our whole team works together to deliver a superior product.”
Brenda loves what she does and really enjoys working with her husband, Mike to grow this company.
She finds it very rewarding to see how the company has evolved with the different policies and procedures they have put in place.
Ultimately, she is most grateful for being able to balance her time with the company and time with her kids.
Marla Peterson, Office Manager
Marla’s title reads Office Manager, but her influence extends far beyond it.
She’s in charge of accounts payable and receivable, payroll, managing office operations and maintenance. Her attention to detail helps keep everything running smoothly.
She’s happy to be part of a company that delivers honest, high-quality work from start to finish. Marla also created and maintains a detailed description of office operations to be used as a reference for complete, concise work. If there’s one thing she shares with all of the Bunn employees, it’s the desire to keep getting better.
